Pricing Embroidered and Screen Printed Apparel — The Shocking Truth
Speaker(s):
Mark Venit of Apparal Graphics Institute
Track: Business
For: Screen Printers, Embroiderers, Promotional Products Distributors, Decision Makers (100-400)
There really is a mathematical formula for pricing screen printed and embroidered apparel — and it has nothing to do with knowing what it costs to run your shop per hour. Unlike any pricing seminar you've ever attended, you'll get hard facts and actual industry-specific operating ratio data to assess your pricing strategy. You'll learn the mechanics of how to engineer your labor costs, overhead and administration, sales commissions and realistic profit levels into your pricing. The best pricing system is one that's integrated into a proactive marketing agenda; one with incentives and disincentives to attract profitable orders and deter unprofitable ones. You'll leave this seminar with new insights on real-world pricing strategies, confirmation of what you're already doing right (or wrong), what types of orders are the most profitable, and with specifics on how to counteract the low-balling tactics of competitors.
In this session, you'll learn:
• How to identify the core components in developing product costs
• How to address inherent marketing issues incorporated into pricing
• How to reference accurate and current industry ratios in developing their own price schedules
